Hurb is very passionate about sharing his love for playing and performing music and firmly believes in the immense benefits music can have on both the heart and soul.
Offering piano and guitar lessons to students of all ages, Hurb tailors his lessons to each individual in order to make the lessons fun and interesting while still focussing on a reading AND writing approach to learning music. All lessons are on a one-to-one basis to ensure the student receives the attention and focus they need to achieve their best possible result.

“After receiving a diagnosis of Dementia/Alzheimer’s and the loss of my dear husband, I found it necessary for me to keep my mind occupied and my brain engaged constantly. I chose to approach the local music studio to see if they would be prepared to try to teach someone with this problem. It was at this point that I was fortunate enough to meet Shaun, Steve and Hurb.
Hurb volunteered to teach me all that he knows. It was a blessing. I have been learning music, notably the piano, with Hurb for 20 months and in that time the lessons have been a constant challenge for me due to the dementia, but I don’t pretend that I will ever have my fifteen minutes of glory but THANKS to Hurb. His amazing patience, guidance and attitude has helped me to achieve what I’m capable of at this time of my life of seventy five years”
With the experience gained from over forty years of live performance, recording, song writing as well as artist and venue management and promotion, Hurb is also uniquely positioned to offer advice and guidance to students that wish to pursue a career in the music industry.
