Formed by Hurb Jephasun (The Beautiful Losers, The Jephasuns), Shaun Corlson (No Flowers No Wedding Dress, Steve Kilby), Jeremy Threlfall (Ralway Bell, The Star Pickets), Pete Lisiewich (Kingpins, Misfits), Tony Pola (Kim Salmon & the Surrealists, Beasts of Bourbon) & Phil Bradley (Subtruck, The Jackals), The Polite Society have been taking the “O” out of country since 2016.

Following the release of their self-titled debut EP in late 2018 the band went into an enforced hiatus following the untimely passing of first Pete and then Tony.

Re-emerging in 2020 with Janine Wells on bass and Nigel Bird on drums, The Polite Society deliver their own brand of barroom country with intensity and undeniable swagger.
